How does CSL pay for Plasma Donations?
CSL Plasma is a leader in plasma collection and is committed to the donor experience and well-being. The medicines CSL Plasma makes from donated plasma ensure that tens of thousands of people worldwide can live healthy lives. CSL Plasma values donors' time, so the donation process includes four steps: visiting a center, getting a physical, donating, and being rewarded.
Donation Process: CSL Plasma's compensation varies based on weight tiers and donation frequency.
Those in the first tier can expect to be paid approximately 25% less compared to those in the third tier.
New Donor Compensation: New donors can earn up to $100 for their first donation in some areas and up to $700 in their first month. Earning the full bonus requires 8 donations within the first 30 days. Generally, new donors can expect to earn $500–$525 on the low end, and $700–$800 on the higher end within their first month.
Return Donor Compensation: Return donor pay is affected by weight tier. CSL Plasma pays about $35–$55 per donation. In some areas, donors who weigh over 175 pounds can earn up to $65 per donation.
Bonuses: CSL Plasma offers frequent monthly bonuses and incentives, with the best bonuses around holidays. A common bonus is an extra $10 for the 5th, 6th, and 7th donation of the month.
Referral Program: CSL Plasma offers $150 for every referred person who completes two successful donations. The referred person also receives a $50 bonus after their second donation.
Loyalty Program (iGive Points): Return donors receive iGive points after each donation. Points can also be earned by referring donors, participating in promotions, and completing surveys. Platinum status donors earn a 100% point bonus. Approximately 50 iGive points are earned per donation, where each point is worth about $0.01. 5000 points can be exchanged for $50. Points expire after 30 days of inactivity.
